This policy explains what Little Nano Sciences collects when you use littlenanosciences.com, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do about it.
What we collect
When you place an order
- Your name, delivery address, email address and phone number.
- What you ordered and what you paid.
- Payment confirmation. We never see or store your full card number — payments are handled by our payment provider, and we only receive whether the payment succeeded.
When you just browse
- Standard technical data: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and the site you arrived from.
- Cookies and similar storage, described below.
When you contact us
Whatever you choose to put in your message, plus your email address so we can reply. If you tell us about a child's dietary needs or health in the course of a question, we use it only to answer that question.
Why we use it
- To fulfil your order — process payment, ship the parcel, and email you about its progress.
- To provide support — answer questions, handle returns and refunds.
- To run and improve the site — understand which pages and products people use, and fix what does not work.
- To meet legal and tax obligations — keep records of sales for the period the law requires.
- To send marketing, only if you asked for it — and every such email has an unsubscribe link that works.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Who we share it with
Only the services needed to run the shop, and only the minimum each needs:
- Shopify, which hosts this store and processes orders.
- Payment providers, who handle the transaction itself.
- Courier and delivery partners, who need your name, address and phone number to deliver.
- Email and analytics providers, for order notifications and site statistics.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim.
Cookies
Cookies keep your cart intact between pages, remember that you are signed in, and tell us anonymously which pages are used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings — if you block the essential ones, the cart and checkout will not work.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires. Support emails are kept while the matter is open and for a reasonable period afterwards. Marketing contact details are kept until you unsubscribe.
Your choices
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you;
- correct anything inaccurate;
- delete your data, where we are not required to keep it;
- stop sending you marketing.
Email care@littlenanosciences.com and we will respond within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, so that we do not hand someone's data to the wrong person.
Children
Our products are for children, but this site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children. Orders should be placed by a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has given us personal data, email us and we will delete it.
Security
The site runs over an encrypted connection and card data never reaches our systems. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security — but if a breach ever affected your data, we would tell you.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be announced on the site.
